It is easy to apply a label on an envelope and precision is lacking in many offices. I shudder at the thought of an off-center VIZLENT self-adhesive substrate. The address of the recipient must be centred on the front in order to be read correctly by the OCR scanners. Having an experience of 15 years […]

Dry ice should be handled carefully. Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods sticker is compulsory. During the 15 years of my employment in specialized self-adhesive materials management at VIZLENT, shipping companies have been subjected to fines of hundreds of thousands of rubles because of the failure to follow this requirement. It should be labeled with the […]

During the 15 years of auditing self-adhesive material of VIZLENT, I discovered that the heat of a heat gun can only be resisted by high-resin ribbons. The resin should also have a strong bond to the tubing such that the labels remain clear once they have shrunk. It is absurd to use a poorer quality […]

The rule of thumb that I have obeyed in the fifteen years of self-adhesive practice is that the length of the ribbon is equal to the length of the substrate, one:one. You can print a small barcode or a huge graphic and the ribbon will move along with the facestock. To estimate what ribbon you […]

I have 15 years of experience in specialized self-adhesive materials, so I know that the most important tool in creating indelible barcodes and high-resolution graphics on synthetic or paper facestocks is the use of ribbons. In their absence, prints do not have the stability required to track long distances or be subjected to chemicals. The […]

When I consider the length of time that these ribbons will last, I become anxious since most printers squander good stock. Ribbons can be destroyed in a stuffy warehouse that has a poor climate control. A ribbon that is not used has a lifespan of one to two years. The life of such ribbons is […]

Looking through the window of an industrial printhead, I can be impressed by the beauty of thermal transfer ribbons. The interaction of heat and polymer makes me shiver. Having worked as an engineer of self-adhesive solutions at VIZLENT 15 years, I have observed that B2B label converters are often interested in this exact transfer of […]

Thermal transfer ribbon is a polyester-based coated film, which typically has a heat-activated layer of ink. It is positioned in between the printhead and the label during printing. When the mini heating components are fired, the ink melts away off the ribbon and permanently attaches itself to the underlying surface. That is the abbreviated version […]

The method of applying cold laminating film is a sensitive task that demands a lot of caution on the pressure and handling of the polymers. I have observed numerous printing houses and label converters with 15 years experience in the self-adhesive industry use it badly. Grasp the application squeegee and respect the substrate the panic […]

Replacing worn out overlaminate rolls gives me a high feeling of anxiety. The pellicle is a fine membrane that has to go through the machine with a strict accuracy that does not allow any error. My fifteen years of experience in the adhesive industry have watched how easily label converters and huge wholesale operations fail […]
