ESD Polyimide Kapton High Temperature Resistant Labels Features

Vizlent ESD Polyimide Kapton High Temperature Resistant Labels are constructed from amber polyimide film with a static-dissipative topcoat, engineered for PCB identification through SMT, wave, and reflow soldering.

The label withstands lead-free reflow profiles peaking near 260°C and maintains barcode clarity after multiple thermal cycles, making it the standard for electronics traceability where ordinary paper or PET labels would char and fail.

The ESD-safe topcoat keeps surface resistance in the static-dissipative range, preventing tribocharging during handling of sensitive components.

These Kapton labels pair a high-temperature silicone adhesive with a polyimide carrier so the bond strength survives both the soldering oven and the cleaning solvents used in post-assembly washing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you customize Kapton labels to our PCB size and barcode format?

Yes. VIZLENT offers custom die-cut sizes from 3 x 6 mm up to large format, in roll or sheet configuration. We support thermal transfer printing of Code 128, QR, Data Matrix, and human-readable serial numbers tailored to your traceability system.

How many reflow soldering cycles can the labels survive?

Our ESD polyimide labels are validated through at least three lead-free reflow cycles at peak temperatures near 260°C without delamination, discoloration, or print loss. The silicone adhesive retains shear strength after repeated thermal exposure.

What is the MOQ and lead time for Kapton label wholesale orders?

MOQ is 2,000 pieces per design, with production completed in 7 to 12 working days after artwork approval. For repeat orders we maintain tooling files and offer expedited shipping by air to support tight electronics production schedules.

Are these labels truly ESD-safe and certified for electronics handling?

Yes. The topcoat is formulated as static-dissipative with a surface resistance in the 10⁶ to 10⁹ ohms/sq range, complying with ANSI/ESD S20.20 handling requirements. This prevents charge buildup during application and handling of sensitive components.

Are the labels compatible with standard thermal transfer printers and ribbons?

Yes. Our Kapton labels work with industrial printers from Zebra, SATO, TSC, and Datamax. We strongly recommend a high-end resin ribbon to ensure barcode scannability after reflow, and we can supply matched ribbons with each order.
