Chemical Label Resistant to Water, Oil, Acid & Alkali Features
The Chemical Label Resistant to Water, Oil, Acid & Alkali is a multi-functional label material engineered for environments where containers are routinely exposed to more than one class of aggressive substance.
Unlike single-resistance labels optimized only for water or only for oil, this product uses a synergistic combination of a chemically inert film face stock—typically biaxially oriented PET or BOPP—with a specially formulated topcoat that repels both polar substances (water, dilute acids, alkalis) and nonpolar substances (mineral oils, lubricants, solvents). The result is a label surface that resists swelling, delamination, and ink dissolution across a broad chemical spectrum.
The adhesive layer is selected to maintain bond integrity even when the drum surface carries residual oil film or moisture, a common failure point for standard paper labels.
Vizlent’s all-chemical resistant label is particularly valued in facilities where multiple product types are handled—such as chemical blending plants or toll manufacturers—because a single label SKU can meet labeling requirements across the entire product range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. VIZLENT prints all labeling information directly onto the chemically resistant face stock, including GHS hazard pictograms, barcodes, product names, lot numbers, and regulatory text. We support both pre-printed finished labels and blank label stock for customer-side thermal transfer printing with compatible resin ribbons.
Our label adhesive is formulated for improved initial tack on low-energy and lightly contaminated surfaces. For best bond strength, we recommend wiping the application area with a clean cloth before labeling. However, the adhesive will grip effectively on surfaces with minor oil residue, unlike standard paper-backed labels that typically fail immediately on such substrates.
Our minimum order quantity is 1,000 labels per design. For repeat or high-volume orders (50,000+ labels), we can hold pre-approved stock for shorter call-off lead times. Standard production runs are completed within 7–14 business days of artwork sign-off, and we work with freight forwarders to arrange efficient global shipping from our production facility.
The label face stock and topcoat are designed to resist splash and short-term contact with dilute acids down to approximately pH 2 and dilute alkalis up to approximately pH 13. For prolonged immersion in high-concentration acids or alkalis (such as 98% H₂SO₄ or 50% NaOH), we recommend consulting our technical team, as the appropriate face stock and adhesive combination will depend on specific exposure duration and temperature.
Yes. VIZLENT supplies these labels on standard rolls with liner release properties calibrated for most automated and semi-automatic label application equipment. Core diameter, roll outer diameter, and wind direction can all be specified at the time of order to match your dispensing equipment. We recommend discussing your applicator model with our technical team to confirm liner compatibility.
