Deep-Freeze Labels For Ultra-Low Temperature Laboratory Freezers Features
Vizlent Deep-Freeze Labels are designed for the most demanding ultra-low temperature laboratory environments, including mechanical -80°C freezers and liquid nitrogen vapor-phase storage.
The construction combines a chemically resistant polyolefin or polyester face stock with a specialized cryogenic acrylic adhesive that maintains tack throughout extreme thermal excursions.
Unlike standard refrigeration labels, these deep-freeze labels remain bonded to small-diameter cryovials and microtubes even after years in continuous ULT storage. The face stock accepts high-resolution barcodes and 2D codes for inventory automation, making it ideal for biobank LIMS integration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we manufacture deep-freeze labels in all common cryovial and microtube formats, including 0.5 mL, 1.8 mL, 2 mL, and 5 mL configurations. We also produce custom shapes such as cap-top dots, wrap-around bands, and rack labels. Provide your container dimensions and we will recommend optimized layouts.
Our deep-freeze labels are validated for continuous storage of five years or more at -80°C and in LN2 vapor phase down to -196°C. When applied to a clean, dry surface at room temperature with 24-hour dwell time, VIZLENT labels remain securely bonded without curl or edge lift throughout the storage cycle.
The standard MOQ is 1,000 pieces per size, with most orders shipped within 10 to 15 business days after artwork confirmation. Larger biobank projects can be scheduled in production batches, and we offer blanket order arrangements for ongoing supply contracts.
When printed with resin thermal transfer ribbon, the image is fully fused to the face stock and resists smudging, abrasion, and solvent wipe-down with IPA, ethanol, or xylene. VIZLENT recommends a resin ribbon for any barcode or 2D code that must remain machine-readable after extended cryogenic storage.
Yes. The face stock thickness, liner release force, and dimensional tolerances are calibrated for automated label applicators used in biobanks and cell therapy facilities. We can supply rolls wound for specific equipment such as Brooks, Hamilton, or Tecan platforms on request.
