Smudging usually occurs if you are printing on incompatible materials, such as glossy synthetic labels (PET or BOPP), or if your printer’s heat/darkness settings are set too high. Wax ink is designed specifically for porous paper materials. For synthetic self-adhesive labels, a wax-resin ribbon is required.
