7846 Laser Markable Label Material Roll Features
The 7846 Laser Markable Label Material Roll from Vizlent is a 50-micron matte silver or black polyester face stock engineered to react to fiber laser energy by carbonizing a thin dyed sublayer, producing sharp, jet-black, permanent marks without any ink, ribbon or solvent.
Because the mark is generated inside the film, it cannot abrade off, smear or fade like printed legends, which is why this 7846 Laser Markable Label Material Roll is preferred for rating plates, type labels and traceability tags on industrial equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. VIZLENT slits the 7846 laser markable polyester from 250 mm up to 1320 mm in any web width and supplies it on cores you specify. We also die-cut finished labels to your shape and size on request. Custom widths normally do not require additional tooling cost.
The mark is created by carbonizing a sublayer beneath the white topcoat, so it sits inside the film and cannot be wiped or scratched off. It resists common solvents, oils, fuels and outdoor UV exposure, and remains legible across the full -40 °C to 150 °C service range. This is why it is widely used on industrial nameplates.
For stock widths the MOQ is one roll, and we ship in 3–5 working days. For custom slit widths the MOQ is 500 m² and production runs 7–12 working days. We consolidate orders worldwide and can arrange door-to-door delivery by air or sea.
A 20–30 W fiber laser at moderate speed gives the sharpest contrast and is the most common choice. CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers also work with adjusted parameters. We share recommended power, frequency and speed starting values, and we strongly suggest a marking trial on free samples before mass production.
The modified acrylic adhesive on our 7846 laser markable label material bonds firmly to stainless steel, aluminum, powder-coated metals, ABS, PC and most engineering plastics. For very low-energy surfaces such as PE or PP we can recommend an alternative high-tack adhesive variant. Full bond strength develops within 24 hours of application.
